When Site B receives the notification signal, it automatically goes back to Site A checking for the existance of a live incoming link, if it exists, the Pingback is recorded successfully. This makes Pingbacks less prone to SPAM than Trackbacks.

Both sites must be Pingback enabled in order to establish this communication. If a site is Pingback enabled, each time you link-out you will be "pinging" external sites. Pingback requires for Site A to phisically link to Site B.

Refbacks - A Refback is also a link. However in this case, Site A (link originator) does not need to "tell" anything to Site B (receptor). Instead, the receptor Site "discovers" this link immediately after the first web visitor gets to the site by clicking on the link. This is done by analyzing information carried by this web visitor's browser referer header.

This is an easier method than Pingbacks since the Site originating the link doesn't have to be Pingback enabled (Posting a link back within any webpage is good enough).

I would suggest really having a look at it because it is more than worth the money.

Merging Blogger Blog

Hey all,

I really don't have the time to keep updating all of the Blogger blogs that I did have so I have decided to now keep just one Blogger blog to make life more simple and consume a little less time.

I am going to need to run through some of the posts to make sure all is ok and also check that links are not broken too.

I want to now try and see how much work it is to get a good page rank for my newly merged blog.

I hope that all readers don't find it too annoying me having a blog for anything.

Learning Java

Today I finished working on the section of my course I am doing and the next part of the course starts on java so I am getting a head start on that and beginning to learn it now so when the new material arrives I will be slightly ahead already.

If you have any comments to make about java for me then I would love to hear from you, I have never really looked into it before.
